Did you know you can send and receive a fax for free through the internet? Sometimes you just want to test your fax line, or your fax is broken. Or maybe you are going paperless and want to be more green. Whatever your reason, there are some options.
Send a Free Fax
To send a free fax, you can use a service called FaxZero. Just go to their web site and fill in in the information. You can send a one page .doc, .pdf file, or enter text. Make sure you put in an accessible email address because after you submit, you’ll need to check your email to confirm you’d like the fax sent.
They of course have other service options if you have more to send, but it’s a great way to send a fax if you don’t have access to a fax machine.
Receive a Free Fax
Efax used to have a free service. Last time I looked for it, they hid it well in their web site so they can push the pay plans. Which are honestly a great deal if your business uses faxes a lot. Their basic plan is $14.00 a month for a local fax number and 130 faxes a month.
For a free option, give faxdigits a try. Faxes will be delivered to your email inbox as a PDF. There is no limitation to how many faxes you can receive. The only downside is you can’t pick your fax number and it will be based in Iowa – which is where the company is based.
If you want even more options, just google “Free Fax” and you will discover a ton of them.
Happy faxing!
