Is there a custom or shorter version of my Google Plus profile URL?

I like Google Plus and want to share my URL with people. But, there doesn’t seem to be any way to create a custom URL with my name in Google. Right now, it’s really long and unwieldy.

You have a few options.

• You could just wait for it. Google has started offering vanity URLs, but they are only for verified accounts such as celebrities or car companies. (google.com/+ford). Eventually, they will probably get around to the rest of us.
• Use a URL shortener such as tinyurl.
• Use Gplus.to. Gplus is a URL shortening service that lets you plug in your Google Plus ID and it turns it into a easier to remember URL. To find your ID, just go to your profile and look for the long number and copy it. Now go to Gplus.to and choose your nick name! Example: Mine is gplus.to/lenashore.
